Containing grades 6 through 12, Valley High School (Fayette) is located on the banks of the Kanawha River in Smithers, WV. Situated just across the Kanawha County border, VHS is approximately 30 miles NW of Fayetteville and 25 miles SE of Charleston. Mission Statement
Believing all students can learn, the Valley High School community is committed to providing a positive, safe learning environment in which high expectations, driven by a challenging curriculum, and 21st Century Learning Skills to allow students to reach their maximum potential.

¨ Due to snow days, the end of the 1st semester will now be on Friday, January 22.
¨ Also due to snow days, April 2, June 4, and June 7 are now instructional days.
